In this 90-minute workshop, you will learn several specific art-making techniques designed to help you explore different parts of yourself; tune into your body, thoughts, and emotions; and increase self-awareness and self-understanding.
Led by Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Amy Loblaw, ATR-BC, LCAT, this session uses Creative Art Therapy techniques to help you deepen your connection with yourself.
No previous art experience required.
Art-making materials will be provided.
Please bring your own journal, notebook, sketchbook, or whatever you like to use to journal.
About Amy:
Amy A. Loblaw, ATR-BC, LCAT, is a nationally registered and board certified Art Therapist and a NYS Licensed Creative Arts Therapist. Amy currently works in private practice, where specializes in creative interventions to help older teens and adults express, explore and work through challenges, particularly those related to relationship-based trauma. Amy has worked in the mental health field for 24 years in a variety of community-based settings.
Amy believes in the power of creativity and art-making to identify and express experiences that are hard to capture in words, as well as heal emotional wounds, build greater connection to self, and empower people to grow and to thrive. In addition to 1:1 therapy work, Amy provides group therapy, clinical supervision/consultation, training and workshops.
